Stop the Bleed
Oct. 16 or Nov. 13
6-8 p.m.
Ages: 14 or older
About the program:
Civilians need basic training in Bleeding Control principles to provide immediate, frontline aid until first responders can take over care of an injured person. The American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma leads the effort to save lives. This class will teach the civilian population how to provide vital initial responses. This information will enable you to stop uncontrolled bleeding in emergencies. There is a delay between the time of injury and the time a first responder is on the scene during many emergencies. Without civilian intervention, preventable deaths can occur.
Rhonda Adams, EMT-P and Field Training Officer for Tri-Hospital EMS will instruct the class.
All participants who attend will receive a certificate upon completion of the course.
