Due to the warm temperatures predicted for Thursday-Saturday and the condition of the sledding area, unfortunately, SledFest is cancelled for 2024.  

Embrace the winter season by joining us for our third SledFest at Palmer Park! Participate in one of our sledding competitions, enjoy a cup of hot cocoa, roast s’mores, or sled for fun. Prizes will be given in each age group for longest slide! 

This event is FREE for all ages! 

Participants must preregister for this event. Please register by Friday, Jan. 19, 2024. Registration is available at https://rec.porthuron.org/ViewCourseActivityDetails.aspx?id=C1197 or in person at the Palmer Park Recreation Center from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekdays.

This event is weather permitting. If there is no snow on Saturday, Jan. 27, 2024 this event will be cancelled.

We encourage you to bring your own sleds, snow tubes and skates, but limited quantities are available to borrow from SportPort. This event is weather permitting. Participants must register for this event.

Please wear clothing for cold/snowy conditions.
