About the program:
Discover nature around you even in the depths of winter! The Belle River is teaming with life, and we’re digging in to explore it. Join Friends of the St. Clair River at our first public Winter Stonefly Search.

Winter stoneflies prefer the coldest months of the year to complete their life cycles and avoid predators. They’re sensitive to pollution and can give us a glimpse into the health of a waterway.

Make sure to bring water and snacks. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
