City of Port Huron Beaches

The City of Port Huron welcomes all to enjoy its beautiful waterfront and experience all Lake Huron has to offer. We maintain Lakeside, Lighthouse, Kraft rd., holland Ave., Ballentine St., and Riverview St. Beaches.

Beach parking passes are required to park in beach lots from May 22 to Sept. 1, 2025.

Beach Parking Rates

A beach pass is required to park at Lakeside and Lighthouse Beaches from the Thursday before Memorial Day to Labor Day.

Beach passes are available to purchase at the Lakeside or Lighthouse Beach parking booth starting Thursday, May 22, 2025 or at the Palmer Park Recreation Center from Monday, May 19, 2025, to Friday, May 23, 2025. Please show ID to purchase a parking pass. Vehicle must be present to purchase a pass. Passes are placed on the driver's side window.

Reentry is not available with a single-use beach parking pass at Lakeside and Lighthouse Beaches.

  • Fort Gratiot and Port Huron Twp resident: FREE

  • St. Clair County resident: $35

  • Out of St. Clair County residents: Not available

Single-use pass:

Parking fee is charged each time a vehicle enters the park. Reentry is not available with a single-use beach parking pass at Lakeside and Lighthouse Beaches. All day passes are not available.

Water and swimming advisories

The St. Clair County Health Department monitors and tests water samples for City of Port Huron beaches including Lakeside, Lighthouse and Holland Beaches. Daily tests are performed from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

Water sample results must be below 300 E. coli per 100 milliliters for water to be considered safe for swimming according to the State of Michigan.
