WETLAND WANDERINGS

Get your hands in the mud and boots in the water at Wetlands County Park! This park is full of life and we’re digging in to find the important little insects that indicate clean water. These stand-alone programs are family-friendly. All ages are encouraged and must be accompanied by an adult. This program meets at the pavilion at Wetlands County Park located at the south end of the Blue Water River Walk. Brought to us by Friends of the St. Clair River. FAMILY BUTTERFLY MONITORING WORKSHOP

The “flying flowers” of our gardens and yards, butterflies are easy to attract and fun to study. Search for butterflies and their babies (caterpillars and eggs) and other friendly pollinators on a “butterfly walk and talk” at the Vantage Point Gardens and River Walk. Choose a potted pollinator plant to take home to your yard! This is a family-friendly program. Children welcome (accompanied by an adult). Meet at the Vantage Point Maritime Center at 51 Court Street, Port Huron. Brought to us by Friends of the St. Clair River.

BRIDGE TO BAY TRAIL RIDE

Get your bikes dusted off! Friends of the St.Clair River is leading a guided ride on the Bridge to Bay Trail where physical activity and family fun meet for an evening of biking! This 7 mile round trip is an easy ride for cyclists of all ages and abilities. The ride begins and ends at Lakeside Park and includes a stop downtown Port Huron so bring a little cash for ice cream! This is a familyfriendly event and children are welcome accompanied by an adult. Must bring your own bike and helmet. Brought to us by Friends of the St. Clair River. BLUE WATER OUTDOOR CLUB

Participants meet in the Vantage Point parking lot at 1:30 pm on Sunday unless otherwise stated. Car pools will travel to the activity from there. For hikes in Canada, we will meet our Canadian members at the Ontario information center. Be sure to bring a passport, enhanced license, or Nexus Card for entrance into Canada.
