Join Friends of the St. Clair River for their Adopt-A-Beach cleanup! Meet them at Lakeside Beach to help spruce up the shoreline for next year’s fun.

Participants will be picking up items washed ashore or left behind by beachgoers, recording the types and quantity of trash found. At the end, they will weigh all trash and see how much was collectively cleaned up.

Adopt-A-Beach is an initiative through the Alliance of the Great Lakes to clean beaches and collect data on plastic pollution. The data from this cleanup will be submitted to help with this Great Lakes-wide effort to keep litter out of the lakes.

All ages are welcome, but children must be accompanied by an adult. Registration is not required for this program.
