About the program:

Lace up your boots, grab a hat, and come hike the trails at 16th Street Park this winter while protecting a rare urban forest. Volunteers will remove invasive woody plants to give native plants space to thrive. Help make a positive environmental impact while enjoying the fresh winter air. Please bring work gloves, a passion for nature and sturdy loppers. (Loppers are also available to borrow.) Friends of the St. Clair River will provide guidance on identifying and removing invasive plants. No registration required. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
