About Junior Recreators
With the help of the James C. Acheson Foundation, the Junior Recreator program prepares youth, ages 12-15, for their professional future by providing hands on experience, such as completing a job application, participating in an interview, and gaining responsibility while networking and volunteering in the community. Once registered for the program, participants will select volunteer opportunities in their interview.
For New Junior Recreators, registration is available beginning May 1, 2026 at the Palmer Park Recreation Center or online here.
This is a free program. Junior Recreators who complete at least 20 hours of volunteering are awarded with a Free trip to Cedar point in early August.

information meetings are held at the Palmer Park Recreation Center located at 2829 Armour st. in Port Huron. New and returning participants must attend a meeting. Please call the Rec Department to RSVp.
