About Junior Recreators

With the help of the James C. Acheson Foundation, the Junior Recreator program prepares youth, ages 12-15, for their professional future by providing hands on experience, such as completing a job application, participating in an interview, and gaining responsibility while networking and volunteering in the community.

Returning Junior Recreators may register starting Monday, April 15.

For New Junior Recreators, registration is available beginning May 2 at the Palmer Park Recreation Center or online here.

Once registered for the program, all participants must schedule an interview on May 28 or May 3o between 4-7 p.m.. Interviews are 15 minutes.

This is a free program. Junior Recreators who complete at least 20 hours of volunteering are awarded with a Free trip to Cedar point in early August.
