Founded in 1978, the American Sewing Guild (ASG) is a national nonprofit dedicated to promoting and preserving the sewing arts and providing support for sewing enthusiasts.

The Port Huron chapter of the ASG is a subchapter of the ASG greater Detroit chapter. Meetings are held once a month on Saturdays at the Palmer Park Recreation Center and consist of a new topic each meeting where members will learn a new skill for practice at home.
