Beginning Thursday, Sept. 21 at 8 a.m. residents of the City of Port Huron are welcome to register for the Port Huron Recreation Department’s upcoming fall programming.

Nonresidents may register starting at 8 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 22. Due to a partnership with Fort Gratiot, Burtchville, Clyde, and Port Huron Townships, their township residents receive the City of Port Huron’s resident rate.

Popular returning programs and events for fall include the Halloween Stroll at Sanborn Park, Lakeside Cemetery History Tour, lacrosse, karate, dance, Walk Michigan, acrylic pours painting and more.

In addition to these returning programs, the Recreation Department is offering a new Intro to Skateboarding Clinic. Participants, ages five or older, are welcome to try skateboarding for one day and learn the basics of controlling a skateboard and establishing balance with instructor Rich Pond at the new Optimist Skatepark. Skateboards and helmets will be provided for all participants. City of Port Huron residents and our township partners are $20 per participant for this clinic. This clinic is available to register for now, before registration starts.
