Kick in summer 2023 with the Port Huron Recreation Department

We are amping up for a busy summer this season providing 11 new events and programs, in addition to our regular summer programming, for the community.

New programming includes:

-Summer Wiffle Ball League, for all ages

-Intro to Wiffle Ball, for children

-Blue Water Youth Lacrosse League, for children

-Fam Jam, for families

-Women’s Riding Club, for adult women

-Beginner Pickleball Clinic, for adults or older children

-Acrylic Pours: Beach Scene, for adults or children

-Shoreline Tuesday Treks, for all ages

-Summer Cool Down, for children

-Stretch and Sweat, for adults or older children

-Body Blaze, for adults or older children

Beginning Thursday, May 4 at 8 a.m. residents of the City of Port Huron are welcome to register for these programs and more.

Nonresidents may register starting at 8 a.m. on Friday, May 5. Due to a partnership with Fort Gratiot, Burtchville, Clyde, and Port Huron Townships, their residents have been afforded the City of Port Huron’s resident rate.


Many familiar programs and events are returning for the summer season. Some of these favorites include Rockin’ The Rivers, Theatre Bootcamp, McMovies, Walk Michigan, Wetland Wanderings, Sporties For Shorties and children’s swim lessons.

Physical copies of our summer guide will not be distributed through USPS this summer to households, instead physical copies of our guide will be available at the Port Huron Recreation Department starting Thursday, April 27.

For individuals looking to register, registration is available in person at the Palmer Park Recreation Center at 2829 Armour St. in Port Huron, online at www.porthuronrec.com, by mail, or by fax to 810-984-0192. Cash, credit or debit card, and check are accepted. Checks may be made payable to the City of Port Huron.


Registration forms may be downloaded at www.porthuronrec.com/forms or are available at the Palmer Park Recreation Center.


The Port Huron Recreation Department provides a safe, fun, and active recreation and learning environment for adults and youth.
