Overdue since 2020 for free music entertainment, Rockin’ The Rivers has emerged back into the Port Huron Parks and Recreation Department’s summer 2021 calendar in August.

For 11 years the Rockin’ The Rivers concert series has been providing free music entertainment to the community, bringing old and new sounds to the banks of the St. Clair River for all ages to enjoy. The 2021 season is quickly approaching, performances in this season include:

- RockStar, The International ‘80s Rock Sensation on Aug. 5

- Captured Detroit, Journey tribute on Aug. 12

- Matt Stell on Aug. 19

- Jerrod Niemann on Aug. 20 (Friday)

- Your Generation in Concert on Aug. 26

Opening music acts are performing at 6 p.m. and headlining bands will follow performing at 7 p.m.. All concerts are at Kiefer Park, within full view of the Blue Water Bridge. Kiefer Park is located near the City of Port Huron Municipal Office Center at 100 McMorran Blvd..

Tickets are not required to enter the premise, but tickets are required for VIP seating to Matt Stell (Aug. 19) and Jerrod Niemann (Aug. 20). To win free VIP tickets to Matt Stell or Jerrod Nieman, concert goers may listen to Q Country 107. Free general admission is available to individuals who do not win VIP tickets from Q Country 107.

“We are excited to partner with the City of Port Huron on our two country shows featuring Matt Stell and Jerrod Niemann. Both shows were originally slated for the spring, but due to COVID-19 we decided to move them to the summer and the city's venue in Keifer Park was an ideal opportunity to work together to bring national country artists to our area,” said Scott Shigley, general manager of Radio First.

Individuals attending the concerts may bring a blanket or lawn chair to sit on. A beverage tent, food vendors, backyard games, such as cornhole, and children’s face painting will be available.

Rockin’ The Rivers is sponsored by Q-Country 107, Advia Credit Union, Earl Smith Distributing Company, Three Olives, Semco Energy, and the St. Clair County Community Foundation.
