The Port Huron Parks and Recreation Department’s free Rockin’ The Rivers concert series kicks off on at 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 4, 2022 at Kiefer Park in downtown Port Huron.
For 12 years the Rockin’ The Rivers concerts have been providing free music entertainment to the community, bringing old and new sounds to the banks of the St. Clair River for all ages to enjoy. The 2022 performances this season include:
- Air Margaritaville, Jimmy Buffet tribute on Aug. 4
- Your Generation in Concert, pop, rock and dance hits on Aug. 11
- Elton Rohn, Elton John tribute on Aug. 18
- The Gobies, rock hits on Aug. 25
Opening music acts are performing at 6 p.m. and headlining bands will follow performing at 7 p.m.. All concerts are at Kiefer Park, within full view of the Blue Water Bridge. Kiefer Park is located on Merchant St. near the City of Port Huron Municipal Office Center at 100 McMorran Blvd..
Tickets are not required to enter the premise. All concerts are free of charge. Individuals attending the concerts may bring a blanket or lawn chair to sit on. A beverage tent, food vendors, backyard games, such as cornhole will be available.
Due to construction and road closures of Fort St. and McMorran Blvd., parking is not available on these streets. Additional parking is available in the parking lot on Grand River Ave. between the St. Clair County Library and the St. Clair County Department of Health and Human Services buildings and in the lot north of the St. Clair County District Courthouse. The suggested route for parking in the Courthouse lot is Grand River Ave. to Merchant St.. Permits will not be required to park in these lots after 5 p.m. on concert nights.
