The holidays are quickly approaching and the Port Huron Parks and Recreation Department has just the event to kick-off your holiday season! The annual Winter Celebration at Pine Grove Park will be available for individuals, families, or friends wishing to see several lighted, holiday displays at Pine Grove Park from Nov. 24 to Jan. 2.
Those attending the event may walk or drive through Pine Grove Park to see the displays. Lighted displays will be lit daily from 5-10 p.m..
Forty-one businesses and organizations have volunteered to install a lighted holiday display for the 2022 Winter Celebration at Pine Grove Park. This is an increase in participation from 2021 and 2020.
“We are excited this event is continuing to grow. Last year, we had 34 organizations participate. This season, we’ve had an additional seven ask to install a display. There is more room to grow and Pine Grove Park has the space to accommodate it. This is an event we want to see reach its fullest potential for all of the community to enjoy,” said Kati Gardner, co-supervisor of the Port Huron Recreation Department and the event coordinator of the Winter Celebration at Pine Grove Park.
Adding onto this growth, burn barrels will be lit to provide warming fires throughout Pine Grove Park. Warming fires are available from 5-7 p.m. on select dates.

-Friday, Dec. 16
-Saturday, Dec. 17
-Monday, Dec. 19
-Tuesday, Dec. 20
-Wednesday, Dec. 21
Also new to 2022, A Little Something and Touchstone Services are selling concessions at Pine Grove Park from Friday, Dec. 16 to Wednesday, Dec. 21. Weekday hours are from 5-9 p.m. and from 2-9 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
Concession stand offerings:
-Hot chocolate
-Coffee from Red Kettle Coffee Roasters
-Donuts from Chef Shell’s Restaurant and Catering
-S’more kits (S’mores may be toasted over the warming fires.)
This event is free for the community to enjoy. Parking is available on site at no charge.
Winter Celebration at Pine Grove Park is located in Port Huron, MI at 1204 Pine Grove Ave. on the St. Clair River. In addition to the lighted displays, several photo opportunity stations are available to take photos near.
