About the program:
Naloxone is a lifesaving medicine that can reverse an opioid overdose and can restore a person's breathing within 2-3 minutes. Naloxone can reverse the effects of heroin, morphine, oxycodone (OxyContin®), methadone, fentanyl, hydrocodone (Vicodin®), codeine, hydromorphone.
Learn about opioid basics, drug overdose signs, how to use Naloxone, and more in a free class instructed by the St. Clair County Health Department. Instruction will be taught using Narcan spray. Narcan is the brand name for the generic drug name Naloxone.
