Pine Grove Park is set to sparkle and shine for the holiday season thanks to the combined efforts of local businesses and organizations who have created life-size lighted outdoor holiday displays.

Individuals or families wishing to see the lighted displays may walk or drive through Pine Grove Park from Nov. 22 to Jan. 2. Holiday displays will be lit daily from 5-10 p.m..

Over 30 businesses and organizations are volunteering to install a lighted display for the 2023 Winter Celebration at Pine Grove Park.

“Most of our groups who decorate Pine Grove Park love this event so much they return every year to decorate. They enjoy creating the displays and many have spent several hours constructing and crafting them. The businesses take pride in their work and it shows. The displays are wonderful! We are extremely thankful they help light up Pine Grove Park, without them the park wouldn’t nearly be as bright and spectacular as it is,” said Winter Celebration coordinator Kati Gardner.

New in 2023, a 40-foot lighted tree will tower above the holiday displays. This tree was gifted to the Parks and Recreation Department to use from the Port Huron Downtown Development Authority.

Also new this year, for one night, children are welcome to meet Santa Claus and his Elf on the Shelf, Pixie Glitter Flake from 5-7 p.m. on Dec 16.

In addition, Liquid Gold is selling concessions from 5-9 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays until Saturday, Dec. 23. Hot cider, hot chocolate and donuts will be available to purchase at the concession stand in Pine Grove Park.

This event is free for the community to enjoy. Parking is available on site at no charge.

Winter Celebration at Pine Grove Park is located in Port Huron, MI at 1204 Pine Grove Ave. on the St. Clair River. In addition to the lighted displays, several photo opportunity stations are available to take photos near.

Winter Celebration at Pine Grove Park is sponsored by Well Now Urgent Care, Semco Energy, Marcotte Disposal, TMA Electric, Somma Service and Recycling, and Michigan Mutual, Inc. and Sam’s Club.
